National
Association of Conservation Districts Annual Poster Contest
The Osceola Soil and Water Conservation District would like to invite your students to participate in the National Association of Conservation Districts Annual Poster Contest. The contest is open to all public, private and home schools, grades K-12. Each year this contest provides kindergarten through twelfth grade students an opportunity to convey their thoughts about soil, water and related natural resources issues through art. It also highlights the educational outreach efforts of conservation districts and their state conservation associations, auxiliaries and agencies. The 2010 poster contest theme is “Conservation Habits=Healthy Habitats” based on the 2010 NACD Stewardship theme.
Each year the contest starts at the local level. Judging for the Osceola County competition will take place at the Osceola County Extension Office located at 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane in Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee, on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 5:30pm. Entries may either be mailed or hand delivered to: Heidi Lockwood, Osceola Soil and Water Conservation District, 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744. All posters must be received no later than Wednesday
May 5, 2010.
The first place winner from each grade category will then have the
